| Background Information |
| I studied abroad in Vienna, Austria for two weeks in Janurary, 2011 with Northern Illinois University. We studied Global Selling Perspectives at at Fachhochschule Weiner Neustadt for a week and we visited several companies (Cisco, Triumph, and Diamond Aircraft). |
Five students attended: Damon, Matt, Joe, Ary and myself. These are the pictures I took during my trip. Majority of them were taken on an iPhone 4. I took some pictures from Damon and Matt and gave them credit on their pictures. Lastly, I took pictures of everyday life that we are not accustomed to in the United States. You will see a lot of street signs, some toilets, grafitti, statues and food. |
I have uploaded all the Austria pictures that I wanted to. If you still want to know more about me, follow me on Twitter where I microblogging about my job, marketing, and random things.. |

| This first set of pictures is from when we first arrived in Austria and walked around to get to know the city. There's also pictures fromt he hotel we were staying at, an art gallery we went to, and street signs and such. | |||||
| This next set of pictures is from we visited Cisco and when we visited the University in Wien. The technology they have there is amazing. I can't even imagine what the world would be like if all companies used this technology. |

| This next set of pictures is from when had a night out in Wien and explored a bit. We met someone who spoke perfect english and we got really excited. We heard about the Gürtle and continued to wander the city. | |||||
| While visiting Austria, we visited the Spanish Riding School where the horses dance. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside, so I took some outside. One horse kicked a hole in a wall inside. We also went on a tour of the stable. It won't be forgotten. Additionally, we visited the Senate and took some pictures with statues and went to see the Barber of Seville at the Opera House. | |||||
| We also visited Schönbrunn Palace. This place was huge and beautiful. Again, we weren't allowed to take pictures inside, so I took some outside and around the palace. Mozart played his first concert there at the age of 4, I believe. | |||||
| We had a weekend day off, so we decided to visit another country. We went to Sopron, Hungary. We went on a Saturday, and I'm not sure if that's a Holy day there, but there was hardly anybody out. We had difficulty with the language because German is a second language for them and they didn't speak much English at all. It was rough, but we managed. | |||||
| We went skiing in the Alps on a day off. We went to Semmering and this was an adventure. I had been skiing a few years before this and went snowboarding a week before I left for Austria. I thought I would be skiing down the Alps like a pro. It was more like falling down the Alps. I knew that I might fall a few times, so I didn't bring my phone. Damon took most of these pictures I believe. The view here was amazing and I wish I could go back. We went all the way to the top and then went down. We were exhausted at the end of the day...and sore. | |||||
| Towards the end of the trip, we went to a wine tasting and I grew a real appreciate towards wine. I wish I had more of it in the States. We learned several ways to drink it and what to look for. The other pictures in this set are from when we visited Triumph (an underwear company), some Wiener Neustadt pictures and the Military Academy. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take any pictures at Diamond Aircraft. | |||||
